The Everest Three Passes Trek is an adventurous and challenging high-altitude trek in the Everest region of Nepal. Offering a unique blend of popular Everest trails and hidden gems in the Khumbu region. This extraordinary trek entails traversing three breathtaking high passes: Kongma La Pass (5,535/18,159ft), Cho La Pass (5,420m/17,782ft), and Renjo La Pass (5,340m/17,520ft). Additionally, you will have the opportunity to visit iconic landmarks such as Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar, Gokyo Ri, and the mesmerizing Gokyo Lakes. Along the way, you’ll also explore the remote and unspoiled Nangpa La Valley, as well as the charming Sherpa village of Marlung and the serene monastery village of Thame.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu 1,300 m and transfer to hotel

Day 2: Kathmandu to Lukla (Flight) or drive to Manthali (Ramachhap) and flight to Lukha and trek to Phakding 2,651 m– 3 to 4 hrs and stay over night

Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar 3,438 m– 5 to 6 hrs

Day 4: Acclimatization day Namche Bazaar – 3,438 m hike to khumjung village

Day 5: Namche to Tengboche – 3,956 m  – 5 to 6 hrs and stay over night

Day 6: Tengbochce to Pangbuche (3930m) 4 to 5 hrs and –stay overnight

Day 7: Pangboche to Dingboche 4,380 m  – 4 to 5 hrs

Day 8: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche 4,380 m hike up to 5000m 3 to 4 hrs

Day 9: Dingboche to chhukhung 4730m-3 to 4 hrs

Day 10: Early morning Chhukung to Lobuche via Khong Ma La Pass Lobuche – 4,938 m / 16,200 ft – 10 hrs

Day 11: Lobuche to Gorakshep (Afternoon hike to EBC) Gorakshep – 5,368 m / 17,611- 8 hrs

Day 12: Gorakshep to Dzongla (Morning hike to kalapather) Dzongla – 4,830m / 15,846 ft – 8 hrs

Day 13: Dzongla to thanak via Cho La Pass Thanak – 4,750 m / 15,748 ft – 8 to 9 hrs

Day 14: Thanak to Gokyo lake -4800 3 to 4 hrs

Day 15: Acclimatization day Gokyo – 4,800 m / 15,748 ft hike to Gokya ri (5483m)

Day 16: Gokyo Valley to Marlung via Renjo La Pass Marlung – 4,210 m / 13,812 ft – 7 to 8 hrs

Day 17: Marlung to Namche Bazaar 3,438 m / 11,279 ft- 7 to 8 hrs

Day 18: Namche Bazaar to Lukla 2,860 m / 9,383 ft – 7 – 8 hrs

Day 19: Lukla to Kathmandu (Flight) 1,400 m / 4,593 ft – 35 minute

Useful Information

We would like to inform you regarding the Lukla of flight detail which may affect your itinerary. During peak seasons, (Including March, April, May, September, October and November) the flight to Lukla will be operated from Ramechhap/Manthali due to air traffic explanation in Kathmandu which it’s about a 5 to 6 hours drive from Kathmandu. Whereas, during non peak season including (January, February, June, July, August and December) the flight is operated from Kathmandu please be aware that the decision regarding the operation of flight solely depends on the airlines and in influenced by the volume of Travelers during the specific month.

Unpleasant weather condition, congested traffic in the Airport, unmanaged runway, topographical difficulties, etc are the significant reason for Lukla flight delay/cancellation. Therefore, if you intend on trekking in the land of Everest region, arranging additional one or two days in your trip is highly pre-planned international flight.
